Which hair mod did you use? I tried one, but like every single hair on it looked really weird, with like 3 inches between the hair and the chest!
Speaking of chests... They really do look weird in Origins... and wildly uncomfortable!
Oh, and I think Alistair is 20 in DA:O (born 9:10 and I think at the start of the game it's 9:30). Even so... He looks at least mid-twenties. At least!

And I agree that Alistair looks older than 20. But then I was also surprised to read that Cullen is supposedly 19 in Origins. I had pegged him as early to mid-twenties.
There seem to be a lot of fanfics for Cullen x warden. So you aren't alone! I personally like the idea that he ends up with someone who isn't going to disappear to try to cure the taint, or who runs off to the deep roads to die, or who can't have kids. Cullen is a guy who totally needs kids.

Cullen looking rougher makes sense to me, because he was taking lyrium - Alistair never got to that point. So with Cullen, the addiction has set in and God knows how drugs can ruin a person pretty fast. It is why he looks older than thirty in Inquisition, according to my headcanon.
Not a bad head canon, it kinda makes sense. I think they did so well with both of those characters though. Maybe Cullen's especially, with the whole redemption arc. Who doesn't love a good redemption story?
DeleteI definitely get you wanting him with a more happy ending. I'd like to believe that the Warden eventually finds the cure to the taint, and gets to live her life with Cullen - oh and maybe that would allow her to have babies too. (Not something I'd touch on in the story, cause that's too cutesy really... but in my head where everything is fluffy and rose-coloured... yep, there they live happily ever after with a kid or two and a bunch of mabari puppies.)
I'm definitely using that mod before my next playthrough so that my character can have great hair too!
My canon Warden is a female Cousland who becomes Alistair's queen, though my first play through was an elf mage who refused to become Alistair's mistress after he married Anora, so the Cullen x Warden thing doesn't really work in my canon world state, since my canon Warden only met Cullen when she saved him from the demons. That's probably a big part of why I don't "ship it" (I think that's the term. :D).
DeleteWhen my warden finds a cure for the taint, she is going to be having a bunch of future princesses and princes. OR SO IT IS IN MY HEAD. If DA4 ruins my happy ever after I will be so sad.

DeleteTo be honest, my real head canon is my warden with Alistair too. I had him with both my Cousland and my Mage. Cause I can't resist the sweet cinnamon roll that he is!
The fanfic is more of a "what if". I have two that sort of connect. Mage Warden who meets Cullen during the Inquisition timeline. And then I let Cousland survive Highever, despite not being a Warden -and ended up in an arranged marriage with King Alistair. That story also taking place in the Inquisition timeline when they've been married 10 years and are kinda estranged cause... Well, arranged marriage and all that.
I'm just weird really hahaha
But it's working as a writing exercise and I hope it will give me the confidence to get back to writing my actual books :)
Post it on one of those fanfic sites! Since I have seen Cullen + Alistair, and Cullen + Dorian, and Cullen + Samson, and Avvar!Cullen, even a werewolf/succubus thing (OH MY GOD FANDOM WORLD IS SO WEIRD), I am sure yours would be one of the more sane stories out there!
