So I've been playing Dragon Age, and I am super enjoying it. It's slightly less open-ended, wander-wherever-you-want than Skyrim is (which isn't to say Skyrim isn't worth playing. It totally is. It's just SO open-ended and I'm easily distracted. Also, I think I made my character accidentally a mean person and that makes me sad. Yeah. It's like killing Sims I made of real people, I hate being mean in games), so it's a nice distraction from "what am I doing oooh pretty let's see what's in here oh who is this" Skyrim.
But what I think is so fun is this reputation thing you have with Followers (basically group members). You can make their approval of you go up or down depending on your actions. You start at a neutral rep.
And, hilariously, when I was talking to one guy and he asked me about my dreams, the dialogue option had a few options, one of which was to say something like "Just dreams of you and me making love in my tent."
Yeah, apparently. Of course I chose it. It was funny, the person gets all nervous and stutters a reply.
But what I think is the best bit is that you can get a dog companion. And look where its rep starts:
That's right. The dog starts at full rep, because doggies love people. Haha. You can interact with it and pet it and things. It's cute!

I still need to get into the Dragon Age games. So far I've only played a little bit, and I wanted to have the older man taking me to town as my love interest. But it's not an option! /Cry!
ReplyDeleteHow did I miss this?
DeleteThere are more options, don't worry!
