Hurray

I've finally managed to get back to fitting in my skinny jeans. Finally! No more muffin top from ill-fitting clothing. And my waist is back to its normal 25 inches. too. Hurray!

Time to stop worrying so much about what I'm eating and go back to my normal diet. And continuing to avoid huge junk food binges.

Completely unrelated to the above, I had posted on Facebook about those stupid "for girls" Kinder Surprises, and had a bunch of women agreeing with me how stupid they are, including mothers with little girls.

Aaand then along comes a middle class white male, who is traditionally the exact person the world (North America, at least) tailors itself to. At the risk of sounding like a radical, a person who has been exposed to very little that isn't for them except for things specifically "for girls" (I.E. everything pink, related to parenthood, and cleaning) can't know exactly how insulated they are without even attempting to think about it. It's incredibly condescending for an adult male to inform all us ladies that we're "overthinking" something.

No, actually, what these companies have done is underthink things. So take your complete lack of awareness and shove it.

  1. It's interesting, isn't it, how the people who say we overthink things, or say that feminism isn't needed.. are generally white men. It's not like the world is made specifically for them more than anyone else or anything. But you know, because THEY haven't seen anything wrong, then everything must be fine.

Also, congrats on fitting in your old jeans :)

    1. Right? I don't see it, so it doesn't exist.

NO THAT ISN'T HOW IT WORKS.
